Price a quote using all the miles and time
A job may be close to a planned route but still involve waiting, awkward parking or a collection window that disrupts the day. Calculate travel to collection, delivery, onward travel and handling time before quoting.
Include your vehicle costs, crew, job charges and a realistic value for your time. A lower bid is not useful if the remaining amount does not cover the work. Our courier job-costing guide shows how to assess the whole journey without relying on an advertised earnings figure.
Understand how a marketplace fee is presented
Shiply’s provider page describes quoting the amount you wish to receive with its fee added above it. Its terms explain that the fee varies with the category and accepted quote. Use the actual amount displayed for the job rather than assuming one universal percentage. [1] [2]
Keep customer total, courier amount and any deductions separate in your records. For Drive It opportunities, also check the payer and completion evidence required. Buying software does not replace the commercial agreement for a delivery.
Decide whether you need another work source or better records
If your immediate goal is to quote for work, evaluate the requests relevant to your vehicle and area. If you already have customers but struggle with scattered addresses, instructions and proof of delivery, trial the Drive It workflow with those bookings.
You can assess more than one service, subject to its terms. Drive It does not automatically import Shiply jobs or grant permission to move bookings off-platform. Keep marketplace obligations and authorised customer information clear when using your own tools.
