Test constraints that matter to your route
Write down the collection windows, delivery deadlines, handling times, vehicle capacity and breaks for a real day. Check the proposed order of stops yourself and make sure collection-dependent deliveries remain practical.
Use the same sample in each product. Review the time needed to create the route, understand it on a phone and deal with a late customer change. We have not run a head-to-head routing benchmark, so this page does not claim one algorithm produces shorter or faster routes.
Choose the plan that includes your evidence
OptimoRoute’s POD guidance describes configurable proof requirements for completed and failed orders. If your customer requires specific photos or a signature, include that in the demonstration and check the plan needed for it. [2]
In Drive It, review the delivery outcome and evidence against the correct job after completion. Test how you will answer a customer query the following day. A route that looks efficient still needs a usable record of what happened at the address.
Separate planning costs from finding work
If you already have a full round of direct customer deliveries, your decision may centre on planning and administration. If you are also looking for additional work, assess that separately: software capability does not establish that profitable jobs will be available near you.
Drive It’s membership includes access to eligible Deliverate opportunities as well as tools for your own jobs. During the trial, decide whether the combined workflow is useful at the full ongoing cost. Do not budget for unconfirmed work when comparing subscriptions.
